Christmas Light Power 2010

Here are my Christmas light power measurements for this year. I didn’t get nearly the normal level of lights up (none in the front yard this year) due mostly to a large snowstorm we had in early December. After rabbit attacks last year, I now only have 4 good strands for the back yard tree, so I lit up one of the smaller trees. It worked fine. I had no choice but to at least light up the back yard tree even though I had to do so with a foot of snow on the ground, because otherwise Santa would not be able to find our house.
This year I had my daughter help me use the P4400 Kill A Watt to make the measurements. She got to learn something about electricity, and now she knows that her tree takes less power than her brother’s!
Here are the results.
